Travel to Music City

Nashville, TN--
Population:
678,889 and MORE than half are
Musicians!

Nashville, Tennessee is home to some of the most talented people on the country. Scratch that, WORLD!
Tennessee is made up of many rolling plains, wild flowers, caves, and mountains. Because of its beautiful scenery and climate, many settlers have made their home in this state.
The state of Tennessee, named in 1796, is the birth place of blue grass music. Memphis is also known for the brass playing blues-y genre. But the key to all country music lies in this parallelogram-shaped state.
Music city entices young artists from all over the country to make the move to state of black bears, catfish, walnut trees, art museums, and music festivals.
The capital city has a rich history, present throughout the area. There are numerous sites to see and songs to hear. Take a step into Nashville’s Centennial Park or the Toy Museum. Or just wander into one of the numerous bars playing live music.

Nashville, Tennessee was named after the hero in the Revolutionary War, General Francis Nash.
Country music fans from all over the world, visit this city by the millions on a yearly basis. While country music is what the city is now known for, all kinds of music can be heard at different festivals, concert halls, and bars.
Taking a trip to this gorgeous city can be somewhat overwhelming, because there is so much to see and do. Some of the best vacations here do not require itineraries beforehand, but are best left to be explored on the spot.
Housing the largest indoor sculpture in the Western Hemisphere, the statue of Athena inside the Nashville Parthenon is a sight to see in itself. The Tennessee State Museum downtown holds many exhibits on the state’s history. The Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art has been open to the public since 1960.
However, if music is what you want to see, do, and listen to, then take a stroll down Nashville’s six-block Music Row. Music Row is the main drag to many fine souvenir shops, bars, and restaurants. Take a tour and see RCA Studio B where artists like Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison, and Elvis recorded songs.
Visit the Ryman Auditorium that used to house the Grand Ole Opry. Or take a look inside the Country Music Hall of Fame. Museums like the Johnny Cash Museum and Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum are great ways to look upon our musical heritage.
Live music can be some of the best you will ever hear in the South. Listen at The Bluebird Café, Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Honky Tonk Central, The Stage, Robert’s Western World, and The Listening Room Café.
Our top places to eat are the 1808 Grille on Music Row which accommodates groups, accepts credit cards, and has valet parking, all while being able to wear casual attire. Did we mention their food is fantastic?
Then there is The Grilled Cheeserie Gourmet Melt Shop on Belcourt Avenue. While they don’t serve alcohol or take reservations, it is a great place to take kids. Casual attire, comfortable atmosphere, great prices, and even better food. Plus they offer military discounts.
And lastly we bring you Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse on 4th Avenue. If you are looking for a classier place to have dinner on your vacation, look no further. Jeff Ruby’s, opened six days a week (closed on Sundays), offers an elegant menu, valet parking, and outdoor seating. They take reservations, credit cards, and even take-out orders for those wanting to eat in the park. Order a cocktail from their full bar to top off your evening.
Lodging can be found at our favorite location on West End Avenue, the Hutton Hotel. While it is not what we would call a cheap date, you get what you pay for. They have pristine rooms, snack bars, complimentary wine hour, an incredible staff, and free wi-fi.
Nashville is a great place to be. The recommendations for visiting this city could not be higher. So chat it out with your significant other or close group of friends and take a few days off of work to explore Music City, USA.
